Will this top look OK on a women with a thick middle, apple-ish shape?

BEST ANSWER: It depends on how tight you like tops to be around your middle. It will look good IF you get the right size. The material will "stick" to your skin around that section, so order a size up if you want to camouflage, rather than draw attention, to that area.

Yes, I think so as long as you get the proper size. I am a 10-12 and ordered a large and it fits me well. It is a comfortable top that to me is more on the casual size for a skirt, shorts, or jeans.

Do these shirts shrink in the wash or are they preshrunk? The small looks nice but if it shrinks I won't want to wear it. The medium is big but would be ok if it shrinks.

I bought the blue one, but the material is not that thin. I always like wearing a cami anyway but it wouldn't be necessary with this fabric thickness.

i'm unsure of where the neckline rests. in the description is says "collarbones" so it seems like there would be a gentle scoop, the pic looks that way, BUT on the model it looks like a crew neckline. very little scoop, just a bit wide at the shoulders?

You are correct, it is not a scoop but wide at shoulders. In fact I don't wear it because it makes my shoulders look huge and the ruching is not in a flattering spot. I wear a Petite and this was a Misses size.

i own a couple of these and I love them. The scoop neckline is comfortable and not restrictive at all. It leaves enough space on me to wear a short necklace and dress it up.

Mine hits at the collarbone. A very nice gentle scoop a little lower than a tee-shirt. I like where it hits on the neck and love the rushing. Very forgiving.

I believe it does have a little scoop. I wouldn't call it a crew neckline. It's very soft material which has a nice drape to it.

I usually wear a medium but have a large bust....should I order an to a large? Would the boatneck be unflattering to someone with a large bust? I usually try to stick with V-necks....love the style! Would love to know before I order!

I bought the large ivory color recently and am very happy w it-I'd say they maybe run slightly large so try your medium. I'm a 38c but broad shoulders so boat neck doesnt always work for me either. This one is nice with a slight break in the neckline (maybe cuz of size?) but it gives it a nice definition. Not a V, but not the usual straight boat either. It's worth trying...you can always return. They are very good about returns too!

I haven't actually worn it yet, but when I tried it on it fit just right ,I am NOT large busted. So I would say if you are a large busted you should probably go to a large to be comfortable

I also am busty and sometime have to upsize to large. This worked for me in medium. Hope this helps. Nice top, haven't worn it yet not warm enough but have had it on, good fit.

I have wide shoulders and purchased a large. I think the boat neck is flattering but I like a higher neck. You might consider a large instead of a medium. It is a cute top.
