is the size the actual length?

BEST ANSWER: Size Conversion: Small = fits 23-31" waists
(approximately 34" long overall)
Size Conversion: Medium = fits 27-37" waists
(approximately 40" long overall)
Size Conversion: Large = fits 32-43" waists
(approximately 46" long overall)

The first one I ordered(size large) was too big so I exchanged it for a medium which is plenty big. I wear a size 12 pant I really haven't actually measured it. But I love it!

They are sized like a traditional belt. I think it's measures from the 1st hole but I'm not exactly sure. The belt didn't fit me so I sent it back. Not the belts fault. It was a long exercise less winter for me. ??

My size small belt measures 35 1/2" from one end of the tapestry to the other end. (not including buckle)

How many eye hooks does the large have to convert to a medium?

BEST ANSWER: Not enough. I bought the large, as it was the only size available, and I love the design. I figured I could probably use the last eye hole to have it fit my medium frame. Alas, there are not enough to work with. Next time I will ask Customer Service to measure the distance to the closest hole to see if my retrofitting will work.

My belt in size large had 4 sets of eye hook holes (my other large size belt came with 5 sets...not sure why different other than the belt was a different pattern). I had to add one extra set (used my grommet) to make the belt fit smaller.

I have a Medium size. There are 5 eye hooks. I wear a size 4 jean and could have bought a small belt. Hope this helps.

what is the length of the small and medium on these belts?

BEST ANSWER: The small is approximately 37" long and the hole for closure are between 24"-33". The medium is approximately 39" long, with the closure holes between 28"-37". I wear a size 4 or 6 pant and use both my small and medium, depending on the waist style. Love my belts- very comfortable and cute.

One thing I would add about this very cute belt is not to expect it to hold up your pants. While it's not stretchy, the fabric has give. You should wear it with pants that don't actually need a belt, but you want to dress them up.
