Rated 1 out of 5 by dogloveralso Poorly designed and little protection
For starters, this hood is huge and offers no ear protection whatsoever unless you chinch it tight into your face. The "face warmer" part of this is very thin wool and very loose...it does not stay up and so is useless. The hood part itself has no wind blocking capability.
Mine will get worn under coat hoods as an extra warmth layer when nothing else is required of it....or over a windproof cap/original buff if neck warmth is necessary.
I regret buying it, though...relatively speaking, it's a fairly unnecessary item of apparel.

I bought this to use with my wig but when it arrived I realized I had to pull it over my head, That is not practical with a wig so I am sending it back, I loved the styling and looks however just wished it opened at the neck.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Morgana Great product! Perhaps a bit large...
I gave this as a gift so am relaying my impressions from the gift recipient. I gave it to a man who really likes it. He is a mountaineer who is outside a lot. He likes the face mask aspect. I gave him the green and it's a pretty color; the face mask part is dark brown. My friend sent a picture of him wearing it and it looks quite big, like it flops down over his forehead a fair amount. That might be desirable in cold weather, tho I imagine it might be really too big on a woman. I think the price is too high but it's a very nicely made product.

This buff hoodie arrived just in time to use during the cold snap that hit the Midwest. With one piece of clothing I can keep my head, neck and face warm and it is adjustable so I can pull the hood up and down to regulate the temperature. The merino wool is super toasty and thin enough to wear under my bike helmet. I love the inside layer that I can pull up to keep my face warm. This is a wonderful combination of functionality, style and fabric.
